Beading

Bead Pattern Maker

Turn a photo into a printable bead chart. Peyote, brick, or loom.

Maps each pixel to a Miyuki Delica colour and prints the chart, materials list, and a row-by-row guide. Free.

Stitch

Loom / square

Beads sit on a regular grid. Easiest to read for a first project.

Peyote (odd-count)

Every second row offsets by half a bead. The most common off-loom stitch.

Brick

Every second column offsets like brickwork. Worked horizontally.

How it works

  1. 1

Upload an image. We resize it to 800 px so processing stays quick.

  2. 2

K-means picks the dominant colours. Each gets mapped to the closest Miyuki Delica.

  3. 3

Pixels are downsampled to the bead grid you chose, then numbered with letter codes.

  4. 4

Download the PDF: cover, materials list, mode legend, chart, row-by-row guide, tips, colour test card.

FAQ

What stitch types does this support?

Loom (square stitch), odd-count peyote, and brick stitch. Same chart data, different cell layout — switch any time.

Will my colours match exactly?

Each colour maps to the closest Delica from a bundled list of around 200 popular codes. Check the test-card page in the PDF before you start stitching.

Can I edit the chart?

Yes — click any cell to swap its bead, or use the bulk fill to recolour a rectangle.

What's the best image to upload?

Bold flat illustrations, logos, pixel art, and clear silhouettes. Photos with smooth gradients posterise into blocky regions.

Is this really free?

Yes. No login, no watermark on the PDF, no per-download cost. We may add premium features later, but the core chart maker stays free.
