How It Works

  1. Upload a PNG, JPG, BMP, or WebP image (up to 10 MB).
  2. Set the grid width in stitches, maximum color count, and Aida fabric count to preview the finished dimensions.
  3. Edit the pattern: paint or erase cells, draw backstitch lines, add half stitches, and switch between DMC and Anchor thread numbers.
  4. Download your PDF, SVG, or OXS pattern file — free, no watermark.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is it free?
Yes — completely free with no account, no watermarks, and no download limits.
What image formats are accepted?
PNG, JPG, BMP, and WebP files up to 10 MB. Images with clear, distinct color areas produce the best patterns.
What is confetti cleanup?
Confetti cleanup removes isolated single stitches surrounded by a different color, simplifying your pattern and reducing thread changes.
Can I add backstitch?
Yes. Switch to Backstitch mode in the toolbar and click-drag between cell corners to draw lines. Backstitches are included in PDF and OXS exports.
Does it support Anchor thread numbers?
Yes. All 435 DMC colors include Anchor cross-references. Use the DMC / Anchor toggle in the palette to switch numbering throughout the pattern.
Can I export to PatternKeeper or WinStitch?
Yes — download an OXS file that opens directly in PatternKeeper, WinStitch, and MacStitch, including full stitches, half stitches, and backstitch.
Will I lose my pattern if I refresh the page?
No. Your pattern, edits, backstitch, and half stitches are saved to your browser for 24 hours and restored automatically on your next visit.
